If the amount of pants hanging outside trousers were any indication of talent then 2Star Rival would be in the big league. Honestly they make the things Bridget Jones wore in the film look like a thong. Other than that they are a fierce young band with th handy attributes of being nail-sharp, on the money and possessing the sort of bounce that only spacehoppers and dodgt cheques nornally possess. From what we can gather Slomo, Nailstorm’s drummer got them together and they seem to be getting nicely up to speed already considering they’ve only done 3 or 4 gigs. Stylewise they’re essentially modern metal with a bit of punk thrown in for good measure and they’ve already picked up the knack of filling the stage - no indie shuffling going on here. We’re going to reserve opinion on the singer’s haircut for the moment - it’s got the potential to be a fine mullet. Incidentally Slomo is really good at breakdancing. We’ve seen him.
